Easy Bible・Amos 2
Amos 2:6
This is what the LORD says: "For three sins of Israel, even for four, I will not turn back {my wrath}. They sell the righteous for silver, and the needy for a pair of sandals.
Amos 2 describes the sins of Israel and the judgment that will come upon them because of their transgressions. The chapter begins by listing the sins of Israel, including their mistreatment of the poor and needy, their sexual immorality, and their idolatry. God declares that He will not revoke His punishment for these sins. God reminds Israel of His past faithfulness in delivering them from Egypt and providing for them in the wilderness, but despite His blessings, they have turned away from Him and worshipped false gods. As a result, God will bring destruction upon them and their land.
