Micah 2:1
Woe to those who plan iniquity, to those who plot evil on their beds! At morning's light they carry it out because it is in their power to do it.

About this Chapter

In Micah 2, the prophet speaks against those who devise evil plans and oppress others. He warns them that God will judge and punish them for their wickedness. The chapter begins with a description of the sins committed by the people of Israel. They covet fields and seize them, and houses and take them away. They oppress and defraud their fellow Israelites, treating them as their inheritance. But God declares that He will bring disaster upon them and take away their possessions. Despite the judgment that is to come, the prophet reassures the remnant of Israel that God will gather them and restore their fortunes. He promises that the Lord will break the oppressors' power and deliver His people from their hands. In the end, God's justice will prevail and His people will be saved.
