Micah 4:1
In the last days the mountain of the LORD's temple will be established as chief among the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, and peoples will stream to it.

About this Chapter

In Micah 4, God reveals His plan for the future. He promises that in the last days, His mountain, which represents His kingdom, will be established as the highest among all mountains. People from all nations will flow to it, seeking the Lord's guidance and instruction. God will judge between nations and settle disputes for many people. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks, symbolizing the end of war and the beginning of peace. No longer will they learn war. In that future time, everyone will sit under their own vine and fig tree, and no one will make them afraid. The Lord Almighty has spoken, and He will make it happen. Even though the people of Israel are currently in distress and facing punishment for their sins, God assures them that He will restore them and bring about a time of peace and prosperity.
