Easy Bible・Micah 7
Micah 7:7
But as for me, I watch in hope for the LORD, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me.
Micah 7 begins with a depiction of the dire situation in Israel, where there is widespread corruption, violence, and deceit. But amidst this darkness, the prophet Micah expresses his trust in God and his hope for deliverance. He encourages the people to not trust in human allies or their own strength, but to put their confidence in the Lord. The chapter then goes on to describe the sins of Israel and the consequences they will face. Micah acknowledges that the people have sinned greatly and deserve punishment. However, he also proclaims God's faithfulness and mercy. He assures the people that God will forgive their sins and restore them, just as He had done in the past. In the final verses of Micah 7, the prophet expresses his confidence in God's salvation. He declares his trust in the Lord's goodness and promises that God will bring His people back to their land. Micah ends the chapter with a powerful statement of faith, proclaiming that God will fulfill His covenant and show His love and faithfulness to His people.
