Habakkuk 2:4
"See, he is puffed up; his desires are not upright- but the righteous will live by his faith -
In this chapter, Habakkuk receives a response from God regarding his complaints and questions. God tells him to write down a vision and make it plain on tablets so that it may be easily read and understood. The vision is about the coming judgment on the wicked and the ultimate triumph of the righteous. The key verse in this chapter is verse 4, which says, 'See, the enemy is puffed up; his desires are not upright— but the righteous person will live by his faithfulness.' This verse emphasizes the importance of faithfulness and trust in God for the righteous to live. It contrasts the wicked, who are filled with pride and selfish desires, with the righteous, who rely on their faith in God. The chapter also warns about the consequences of greed, violence, and injustice. It describes how the wicked will be held accountable for their actions and how their ill-gotten gain will ultimately bring them shame and destruction. On the other hand, the righteous are encouraged to wait patiently for God's timing and to trust in His justice.
