Mark 11:1

In Mark 11, Jesus and his disciples approach Jerusalem, and he sends two of them ahead to find a young donkey for him to ride on. As Jesus enters Jerusalem, the people spread their cloaks and palm branches on the road, shouting 'Hosanna!' and 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!' Jesus then goes to the temple and drives out the merchants, saying, 'My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations, but you have made it a den of robbers.' The next day, as Jesus and his disciples pass by the fig tree he had cursed the previous day, they find it withered from the roots. Jesus uses this opportunity to teach his disciples about the power of faith and the importance of forgiveness. He tells them, 'Have faith in God. Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.' Jesus emphasizes the need for forgiveness, saying, 'And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.' In Mark 11, we see Jesus entering Jerusalem triumphantly and cleansing the temple. This chapter highlights the authority and power of Jesus as he demonstrates his ability to perform miracles and teach important lessons. It also serves as a reminder for us to have faith in God, pray with sincerity, and practice forgiveness in our lives.
