About this Chapter

In Mark 16, Jesus appears to his disciples after his resurrection and gives them the Great Commission. He tells them to go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. Jesus also promises that those who believe in him will have the power to drive out demons, speak in new tongues, pick up snakes with their hands, and not be harmed by deadly poison. They will also be able to lay hands on the sick and see them recover. After Jesus spoke to them, he was taken up into heaven and sat at the right hand of God. The disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.
