Easy Bible・John 14
John 14:1
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me.
In this chapter, Jesus comforts his disciples as he prepares to leave them. He assures them that he is going to prepare a place for them in his Father's house and that he will come back to take them to be with him. Jesus tells them that he is the way, the truth, and the life, and that no one can come to the Father except through him. Jesus also promises to send the Holy Spirit, who will be with them forever and will teach them all things. He tells them not to be troubled or afraid, but to trust in God and in him. Jesus promises peace to his disciples, a peace that the world cannot give. Jesus explains that if they love him, they will keep his commandments. He assures them that the Father will love them and that he and the Father will come to them and make their home with them. Jesus promises to give them the Holy Spirit as a helper and to leave them his peace.
