Easy Bible・Acts 4
Acts 4:12
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
In Acts 4, Peter and John are brought before the religious leaders to give an account for healing a man in the name of Jesus. Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, boldly proclaims that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus. He declares that Jesus is the cornerstone, the rejected stone that has become the cornerstone of God's salvation plan. The religious leaders, astonished by the boldness of Peter and John, recognize that they are ordinary, uneducated men. However, they cannot deny the miraculous healing that has taken place. They command Peter and John not to speak or teach in the name of Jesus, but Peter and John refuse to obey them, stating that they cannot help but speak about what they have seen and heard. After being released, Peter and John return to their fellow believers and share what had happened. The believers respond with prayer, praising God for His sovereignty and asking for boldness to continue proclaiming the message of Jesus. The Holy Spirit fills them once again, and they speak the word of God with great boldness.
