2 Corinthians 5:7
We live by faith, not by sight.
In this chapter, the apostle Paul encourages the Corinthians to live by faith and not by sight. He reminds them that while they are still in their earthly bodies, they long to be with the Lord. Paul explains that as believers, they are new creations in Christ, and that God has reconciled them to Himself through Jesus. He emphasizes that believers are ambassadors for Christ, entrusted with the message of reconciliation. Paul urges the Corinthians to be reconciled to God and to live a life that pleases Him. Paul also addresses the topic of judgment and the future resurrection. He explains that everyone will stand before the judgment seat of Christ, where they will be held accountable for their actions. He reminds the Corinthians that the love of Christ compels them to live for Him and to no longer live for themselves. Paul emphasizes that through Christ, believers have been made righteous and are called to live a life of holiness and obedience. In conclusion, Paul encourages the Corinthians to embrace their identity as new creations in Christ and to live by faith. He reminds them that their ultimate goal is to please God and to be with Him forever. Paul urges them to share the message of reconciliation with others and to live in a way that reflects the love and grace of God.
