Easy Bible・2 Corinthians 9
2 Corinthians 9:6
Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.
In this chapter, Paul encourages the Corinthians to be generous in their giving. He tells them that whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, but whoever sows generously will also reap generously. He emphasizes that each person should give what they have decided in their heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. Paul assures the Corinthians that God is able to bless them abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that they need, they will abound in every good work. He quotes from the Psalms to remind them that the righteous person who gives generously will never be shaken, and that their generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. Paul also mentions that their giving will supply the needs of the Lord's people, and will cause many to give thanks to God. He concludes by expressing his gratitude for the Corinthians' obedience and generosity, and he prays that God will continue to bless them and increase their harvest of righteousness.
