Easy Bible・Galatians 1
Galatians 1:6
I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel--
In this chapter, the apostle Paul writes to the Galatians, warning them against distorting the gospel. He expresses his astonishment that they are so quickly deserting the one who called them by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel. Paul emphasizes that there is only one true gospel, which he received directly from Jesus Christ. Paul confronts those who are trying to pervert the gospel by saying that even if an angel from heaven were to preach a different gospel, they should be under a curse. He emphasizes that his message is not from human origin, but from a revelation of Jesus Christ. Paul shares his personal testimony, explaining that he was once a zealous persecutor of the church, but God called him by His grace to reveal His Son in him. He affirms that he did not receive his gospel from any human source, but through a direct revelation of Jesus Christ.
