Ephesians 6:10
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

About this Chapter

In Ephesians 6, the apostle Paul encourages believers to put on the full armor of God to stand against the spiritual forces of evil. He reminds us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, authorities, and powers of this dark world. Therefore, we need to be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Paul describes the different pieces of the armor of God that we should put on: the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Each piece of the armor represents a spiritual truth or weapon that God provides for us to fight against the enemy. By putting on the armor of God, we can be prepared to withstand the attacks of the enemy and to stand firm in our faith. It is through prayer and dependence on God that we can effectively use the armor and overcome the schemes of the devil. As believers, we are called to be strong and courageous, knowing that God is with us and has equipped us for the spiritual battle.
