Colossians 1:15
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
In this chapter, the apostle Paul emphasizes the supremacy of Christ. He describes Jesus as the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. Through Jesus, all things were created, both in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible. He is before all things, and in him, all things hold together. Paul also highlights the role of Christ in the redemption of humanity. He states that Jesus is the head of the body, the church, and the firstborn from among the dead. Through his death and resurrection, Jesus reconciled all things to himself, making peace through his blood shed on the cross. Furthermore, Paul emphasizes his own role as a servant of the gospel. He proclaims the mystery that has been hidden for ages and generations but is now revealed to the saints. His aim is to present everyone mature in Christ, warning and teaching with all wisdom so that they may be presented perfect in Christ.
