1 Peter 3:15

In this chapter, Peter encourages believers to live in a way that honors God, even in the face of persecution. He emphasizes the importance of maintaining a gentle and respectful attitude, especially towards those who oppose the faith. Peter reminds believers to always be prepared to give a reason for their hope, with gentleness and respect. Peter also addresses the role of husbands and wives in marriage. He encourages husbands to treat their wives with understanding and respect, and to honor them as fellow heirs of God's grace. Likewise, he urges wives to submit to their husbands, not out of fear or inferiority, but out of reverence for God. Finally, Peter reminds believers that it is better to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. He points to the example of Christ, who suffered unjustly but triumphed over sin and death. Peter encourages believers to follow in Christ's footsteps, entrusting themselves to God's care and remaining steadfast in their faith.
