Easy Bible・1 John 2
1 John 2:15
Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
In this chapter, John warns the believers not to love the world or the things in the world, because if anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. He emphasizes the importance of obeying God's commandments and walking in the light, which is to love one another. John addresses different groups within the church, including children, young men, and fathers, and encourages them to remain strong in their faith and not be deceived by false teachings. John reminds the believers of the victory they have over the evil one through their faith in Jesus Christ. He encourages them to hold on to the truth they have heard from the beginning and to reject the lies and deceit of the antichrists. John assures them that they have the Holy Spirit dwelling in them, who teaches them all things and helps them discern between truth and falsehood. Lastly, John warns the believers about the spirit of the antichrist that is already in the world. He encourages them to remain in Christ and to abide in Him, so that they may have confidence and not be ashamed when He returns. John reminds them of the love that God has for them and encourages them to love one another as God has loved them.
