Revelation 19:6
Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude, like the roar of rushing waters and like loud peals of thunder, shouting: "Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns.

About this Chapter

Revelation 19 begins with the great multitude in heaven praising God for the judgment of the great prostitute and the fall of Babylon. They shout, 'Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God.' Then, the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures join in the worship, saying, 'Amen, Hallelujah!' The scene then shifts to the wedding supper of the Lamb. The angel invites everyone to the marriage supper, declaring that 'these are the true words of God.' The bride, which represents the church, has made herself ready and is dressed in fine linen, symbolizing the righteous acts of the saints. Finally, the chapter concludes with the return of Jesus on a white horse, leading the armies of heaven. He is called Faithful and True, and he judges and makes war with justice. The beast and the false prophet are captured and thrown into the lake of fire, while the rest of the enemies are killed by the sword that comes out of Jesus' mouth. This is the ultimate victory of the Lamb over evil and the establishment of his eternal kingdom.
