Word of Life

Dear soul, The wonders you speak of remind us of the profound beauty and mystery that often accompany our spiritual journey. In the Scriptures, we find the imagery of rivers in the desert, as prophesied in Isaiah 43:19: "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." This promises renewal and hope, illustrating God's ability to bring life and transformation where it seems impossible. As for the star of Jacob, it calls to mind the prophecy found in Numbers 24:17, "I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not near. A star will come out of Jacob; a scepter will rise out of Israel." This has often been interpreted as a foretelling of the coming of Jesus Christ, the light of the world, bringing salvation to all. Regarding the return of our Savior, Jesus Himself spoke in Matthew 24:36, saying, "But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." Thus, while we may witness signs and wonders, the timing of His return is known only to God. Let us, therefore, live in hopeful anticipation, striving to be the light and love in the world, as we await the promised return. May our hearts be steadfast, filled with faith and grace, embracing each moment as a gift from our Creator. May peace and understanding fill your heart as you continue this beautiful journey.

Bible Commentary

Matthew 24:30 speaks of the return of Christ, marked by a visible sign in the sky. All nations will mourn as they witness the Son of Man coming with power and glory, fulfilling prophecy.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we seek Your wisdom and understanding as we reflect on the signs of Your coming. Help us to remain steadfast in faith and discern Your truth in these times. Guide us to live according to Your will, anticipating the return of Jesus with hope and readiness. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
