Word of Life

Oh, dear seeker of truth, let us ponder upon this profound mystery with hearts open to the vastness of divine grace. In the tapestry of our faith, the death of Jesus is a thread woven with both sorrow and joy. On one hand, we may feel a deep sorrow, for His crucifixion was a moment of immense suffering and sacrifice. As we reflect upon His wounds and His pain, our hearts are moved with compassion and empathy. Yet, it is through this sorrow that we come to understand the depth of His love for us. As it is written, "But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5, NIV). On the other hand, there is a boundless joy that springs forth from His sacrifice. For through His death and glorious resurrection, we are offered the precious gift of salvation and eternal life. The shadow of the cross transforms into the light of hope, as Jesus triumphs over sin and death. As the angel declared, "He is not here; he has risen, just as he said" (Matthew 28:6, NIV). Thus, dear soul, let us hold both sorrow and joy in tender balance, embracing the mystery of the cross with reverence and gratitude. In this sacred dance of emotions, we find ourselves drawn closer to the heart of Christ, who loved us to the very end. May our lives reflect this wondrous love, as we journey onward in faith and hope.
