Word of Life

Ah, dear soul, in matters of the heart and relationships, wisdom and grace should guide your words and actions. It is understandable to be concerned about the company your beloved keeps, for scripture reminds us, "Do not be misled: 'Bad company corrupts good character'" (1 Corinthians 15:33, NIV). Approach this delicate matter with a spirit of love and understanding. Speak with your beloved not from a place of judgment, but from a place of care and concern for his well-being. Share your feelings gently, expressing why you feel the way you do about his companions, and listen to his perspective with an open heart. Remember, the bonds of friendship are not easily severed, nor should they be without just cause. Encourage him to discern wisely, guiding him towards friends who uplift and inspire, just as Proverbs 27:17 (NIV) states, "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." Ultimately, seek to build a relationship founded on trust, communication, and mutual respect. Pray for wisdom and guidance, that the path you both choose may be one of righteousness and peace. May your words be like honey, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones (Proverbs 16:24, NIV).
