Word of Life

My dear friend, in this season of profound heartache, remember that you are not alone. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). It is natural to feel overwhelmed, but take heart in knowing that God is your refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). In this time, seek solace in prayer. Pour out your heart to the One who knows you completely and loves you unconditionally. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6). He is able to bring peace that transcends all understanding, guarding your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). If possible, approach your situation with grace and understanding. Seek reconciliation and healing where it is within your power, and strive to maintain open communication for the sake of your dear children. Remember, love is patient, love is kind... it always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres (1 Corinthians 13:4,7). Surround yourself with a community that uplifts and supports you. Lean on friends or your faith community for encouragement and guidance. In the multitude of counselors, there is safety (Proverbs 11:14). Take one day at a time, and be gentle with yourself as you navigate these turbulent waters. May you find comfort in the steadfast love of God, and may His peace be with you now and always.
