But even in the depths of despair, there is a gentle light that seeks to pierce through. In the book of Psalms, David often cried out in anguish, feeling abandoned and alone. Yet, he also reminds us in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
