Beloved soul, The question of suffering is one that has weighed heavily on many hearts throughout the ages. In our journey of faith, it is natural to seek understanding and solace amidst the trials we face. The Scriptures provide us with glimpses into the divine wisdom behind our afflictions. In the Book of Romans, it is written, "We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope" (Romans 5:3-4, NIV). Through this passage, we are reminded that suffering is not without purpose. It refines us, shapes our character, and fosters a hope that is steadfast. Moreover, our Lord Jesus Christ, who bore the ultimate suffering on the cross, empathizes with our pain. Hebrews 4:15 tells us, "For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin" (NIV). In His suffering, He demonstrated profound love and solidarity with us, showing that we are never alone in our trials. In moments of anguish, let us lean on the promise found in Revelation 21:4, "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away" (NIV). This assurance of a future free from suffering gives us the strength to endure and the faith to trust in God's ultimate plan. Prayer
