Word of Life

Dear seeker of divine wisdom, The Holy Scriptures guide us towards a life of righteousness, wisdom, and contentment, rather than earthly riches. In the Gospel of Matthew, we are gently reminded, "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven" (Matthew 6:19-20, NIV). The pursuit of wealth is a path fraught with temptation and distraction from what truly matters. Instead, let us turn our hearts towards the virtues of faith, hope, and love. In Proverbs, we find the wisdom that "better a little with the fear of the Lord than great wealth with turmoil" (Proverbs 15:16, NIV). Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well (Matthew 6:33, NIV). Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6, NIV). May you find peace and fulfillment not in the fleeting promises of worldly wealth, but in the eternal treasures that our Heavenly Father has laid before us. Proverbs 13:11 states, "Wealth gained hastily will dwindle, but whoever gathers little by little will increase it." In contrast, wealth accumulated gradually through diligence and patience tends to grow and endure.
