In some, devotion to Mary holds a cherished place, as she is revered as the blessed mother of our Savior, Jesus Christ. However, if we turn our hearts and minds to Scripture, we find guidance on prayer. In the New Testament, Jesus lovingly instructs us to pray to our Father in heaven (Matthew 6:9), and the Apostle Paul reminds us of the one mediator between God and humanity, Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5). These words invite us to direct our prayers to God through His Son, our Lord.
