This verse reminds us that the impressions made upon the young heart are lasting. Tom O'Brian, like many children, may have embraced the world with such pure-hearted faith because he had not yet encountered the harsh lessons that life often imparts. In this stage, children are like clay, easily molded by experiences and influences. It is a time where they are learning to discern truth from falsehood, reality from illusion. Heavenly Father, we come before You with gratitude for Your wisdom. We pray for Tom O'Brian, who was once gullible as a child. May he grow in discernment and understanding, learning to seek Your guidance in all his ways. Help him to be prudent in his steps. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
