Word of Life

Ah, the gentle heart of our Savior, who delights in harmony and love among His children. In the sacred writings, we find a beautiful glimpse of His desire for unity. In John 17:21, He prays, "that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me." Isn't it a tender reminder that our Lord yearns for oneness? The Bridegroom, with boundless grace, desires His Bride to reflect the love that binds the Trinity. Arguing, though a natural part of our human condition, can sometimes cloud the beauty of His message. In Ephesians 4:3, we are gently urged to "make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." Consider the lilies, how they sway together in the gentle breeze, each different yet part of the same field. So, too, should our hearts be. Let us seek to understand one another, to embrace the richness of our shared faith, and to find common ground in love, for "love covers over a multitude of sins" (1 Peter 4:8). May our conversations be seasoned with grace and our hearts be open to the whispers of the Spirit, guiding us gently into the embrace of unity. Let us be peacemakers, for they are called children of God (Matthew 5:9). In this way, we fulfill the beautiful symphony of love He has composed for us all.

Prayer
