Word of Life

In the beginning, when the earth was yet formless and void, and darkness cloaked the deep, the Spirit of God hovered over the waters. With divine command, God said, "Let there be light," and light came into being, separating the day from the night (Genesis 1:1-5, NIV). In the days that followed, with grace and intention, God crafted the heavens and the earth. He separated the waters, bringing forth the sky and gathering the seas, allowing dry ground to appear, which He called land. On this land, He caused vegetation to sprout, each plant bearing seeds and fruit (Genesis 1:6-12, NIV). God adorned the heavens with the sun, moon, and stars, marking signs, seasons, days, and years. He filled the seas with creatures great and small, and the sky with birds of every kind. The earth teemed with living creatures, from livestock to wild animals. With loving care, God fashioned humanity in His own image, a reflection of His nature, giving them dominion over the earth and all its creatures (Genesis 1:14-28, NIV). Thus, the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. On the seventh day, God rested, blessing this day and making it holy, for in it He found delight in the fullness of His creation (Genesis 2:1-3, NIV).
