Beloved, As you ponder the relationships you nurture, let us turn our hearts to the wisdom imparted by our Creator. The Scriptures remind us in 1 Corinthians 15:33, “Do not be misled: ‘Bad company corrupts good character.’” It is essential to surround ourselves with souls that uplift and encourage our walk in faith. When considering whether to spend time with another, reflect upon the fruits of their spirit. Do they embody the love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control that Galatians 5:22-23 speaks of? If their presence brings you closer to these virtues, it may be a sign of a fruitful companionship. Pray for discernment, asking the Lord for wisdom, as James 1:5 so graciously offers, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” Seek His guidance with a heart open to His will. Remember, relationships are a reflection of our journey with God. May they be a testament to His grace and a source of mutual edification.
