Oh, dear soul, your heart is burdened with the weight of worry and uncertainty. In moments like these, it is natural to seek understanding and solace. Let us turn to the Word for enlightenment and peace. In John 9:2-3, a disciple asked Jesus about a man born blind, wondering if sin was the cause. Jesus replied, "Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him." The trials we face are not always the consequence of sin. Sometimes, they are opportunities for the glory of God to manifest in ways beyond our comprehension. Illness can be a mysterious terrain, but it need not be navigated alone. In James 5:14-15, we are reminded, "Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord."
