Word of Life

Ah, my dear friend, the mysteries of the future often linger beyond the grasp of our mortal understanding. In this world, there are many things that we cannot foresee with certainty, and the outcome of a sports event is one of them. Just as the winds blow where they please, so do the fates of our beloved teams take paths unknown. What we can hold onto, however, is the joy of hope and the spirit of camaraderie that binds us as we cheer for those we support. In James 1:17, it is written, “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” Whether in victory or in defeat, let us give thanks for the moments of joy and the lessons learned. May your heart be filled with peace and may you find delight in the journey, regardless of the destination. Let us cherish the moments we have, and may our spirits be uplifted by the simple joy of being together in anticipation and hope.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I commit the Cubs' efforts and games into Your hands. May their hard work and dedication align with Your will. Grant them strength, unity, and wisdom in every play. May their plans succeed according to Your purpose. In Jesus Christ's name, I pray. Amen.
