Word of Life

Beloved child of God, In times of uncertainty, we seek wisdom from the Holy Scripture, which illuminates the path we should tread. As we ponder the idea of belonging to multiple congregations, let us turn to the Word for guidance. In 1 Corinthians 12:12-14, Paul speaks to us about the unity and diversity in the body of Christ: "Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many." This passage reminds us that while we are many, we are called to unity in one body, the Church. Furthermore, Hebrews 10:24-25 urges us to "consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." Here, the emphasis is on the importance of consistent fellowship and encouragement within a single community of believers. While there is no explicit prohibition against attending multiple churches, the scripture encourages us to find a home where we can grow, serve, and be nurtured in faith. It is in the depth of these relationships and commitments that we find true spiritual growth and support. Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your wisdom and guidance. Help us to understand and live by Your Word, especially in Matthew 6:24. Teach us to serve You wholeheartedly and not be divided in our devotion. May we find our spiritual home in one church and grow in faith and love for You.
