In James 4:3, it is written, "When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures." To pray for abundance is not inherently wrong, but let us seek a heart aligned with divine purpose. Consider the parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14-30, where it speaks of stewardship over gifts bestowed upon us. Pray not only for material gain but for wisdom to use blessings for the glory of the Creator and the betterment of others. Proverbs 30:8-9 gently guides us, "Give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, 'Who is the Lord?' Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God." Seek balance and contentment in the provision of each day. Let your prayers be a melody of trust in His divine plan, seeking first His kingdom and righteousness (Matthew 6:33).
