Beloved child of the light, The Holy Scriptures, in their timeless wisdom, have indeed spoken with clarity and depth about the days we find ourselves living in. The Apostle Paul, in his second letter to Timothy, wrote, "But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people" (2 Timothy 3:1-5, NIV). These words seem to echo the very fabric of our contemporary society, where self-centeredness and materialism often overshadow the virtues of humility, gratitude, and love. The predictions of moral decay and the rise of false appearances resonate deeply with the challenges we face today. Yet, amidst these trials, we find solace and direction in the teachings of our Savior, Jesus Christ. He reminded us, "In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world" (John 16:33, NIV). This assurance is a beacon of hope, guiding us to remain steadfast in faith and love, even as the world around us may falter. Let us, therefore, draw closer to the Lord, seeking His wisdom and strength, and striving to be beacons of His light and love in a world that so desperately needs it. Prayer

Heavenly Father, We come before You acknowledging the truth of Your Word in 2 Timothy 3:1-5. In these last days, we see people becoming lovers of themselves, money, and pleasure, while neglecting godliness and righteousness. We pray for Your guidance and strength to remain faithful and to distance ourselves from such influences. Help us to shine Your light in this dark world and to uphold Your truth with love and grace.
