Beloved seeker, in your quest for closeness, remember that the journey to the Divine is not about deprivation, but about transformation. In this sacred pilgrimage, let us consider the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Instead of starving, think of nurturing the spirit. Starve distractions that pull you away from divine presence—those fleeting whispers of the world that lead you astray. Let go of the burdens of resentment, anxiety, and doubt, for they cloud the heart's yearning. Instead, feast on the fruits of the spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). In the quiet moments of prayer, meditate on God's word, allowing His teachings to nourish your soul. "Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him" (Psalm 34:8). Embrace community and fellowship, for where two or three gather in His name, there He is with them (Matthew 18:20). Share in the beauty of worship and the strength of mutual encouragement. Remember, dear heart, that the Almighty desires not our suffering but our joy and communion with Him.
