In moments of division and discord, we may find ourselves yearning for a voice of wisdom and unity. Let us journey back to the heart of Jesus' teachings, where love and compassion reign supreme. Jesus, in His profound simplicity and grace, often transcended the confines of political allegiances. When presented with the contentious issue of paying taxes to Caesar in Matthew 22:21, He wisely counseled, "Give back to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's." His words remind us to discern between earthly matters and divine truths, urging us to prioritize love and righteousness above all. In John 13:34, He offers us a new commandment: "Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." This call to love is not limited by borders or beliefs; it is an invitation to embrace all, transcending the boundaries that divide us. Jesus' life exemplified humility and service, as He washed the feet of His disciples and dined with tax collectors and sinners.
